The name, honestly
Swati Shahtoosh is the name the weavers of Salampur gave to the finest, softest shawl on their looms. It contains no antelope fibre. The yarn is fine Australian wool, spun in China, handwoven one shawl at a time on the handlooms of Salampur, Swat, and then hand-embroidered in Multan. It is light enough to carry through a whole winter day and warm enough to matter in the evening, which is why it is the shawl our customers come back to. Read the full story behind the name.
Fine embroidery
A lighter, finer line of hand-embroidery than our classic border, delicate enough that the shawl reads as almost plain from across a room and reveals its detail only up close. For anyone who wants the softness of Swati Shahtoosh with the quietest possible decoration.
