Attan was born in the Swat Valley of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in a region long celebrated for two living crafts: the hand-loomed shawl and the hand-stitched leather chappal. We started Attan to bring this heritage directly to people who value things that are made slowly, by hand, and made to last.

Woven in Salampur, Swat

Our shawls are handwoven by artisan families in and around Salampur, one of Pakistan's most respected weaving communities. Each pashmina and fine-wool shawl passes through many hands — spinning, weaving, and in many pieces, days of intricate hand embroidery along the borders. No two are exactly alike, and that is the point. These are pieces meant to be kept for years and passed on.

Hand-stitched Peshawari chappals

Our footwear continues the Peshawari chappal tradition — from the classic Kaptaan to the Norozi, Sabar, Zardari and Zalmi styles. Each pair is cut from premium leather, double hand-stitched, and finished with a sturdy sole built for everyday wear. Comfortable enough for daily life, refined enough for weddings and Eid.

What we believe

We believe in honest materials, fair work for the craftspeople we partner with, and quality you can feel the moment you hold the piece. When you buy from Attan, you are supporting skilled artisans in the Swat Valley and helping keep a centuries-old craft alive.
