Made for how men wear a shawl
A man's shawl is worn differently: thrown over one shoulder, wrapped against the cold on a motorbike, folded over the arm at a wedding. So ours is cut larger, roughly 45 by 90 inches, with a plain field and a simple selvedge, and woven from a wool that holds its shape through a season of daily use. What "mix" means
The mix pashmina is woven from a blended wool yarn rather than the softer single yarn of our pure Swati pashmina. That makes it a little sturdier and a little more affordable: the right choice for a shawl that will be used hard. "Swati pashmina" itself is the Salampur weavers' name for their softest everyday wool weave; it is a wool shawl, not the goat-fibre pashmina of Kashmir, and it is priced as one.
The colour
Grey is the most versatile men's colour after black: softer over pale clothes, cleaner over dark, and it hides dust from the road better than either.
