A Swati Shahtoosh shawl in warm brown — no embroidery, no border, just the cloth itself. The ground carries a fine self-coloured diamond weave that shows when the light crosses it, and the ends finish in a short natural fringe.
The plain one
Most of our Swati Shahtoosh range is embroidered, and the embroidery is what people notice first. This piece is the same cloth with nothing added, which means the weave has to carry the whole shawl on its own. Held flat it reads as a solid dark brown; gathered or draped, the diamond pattern comes up across every fold. It is the shawl to reach for when you want the warmth and the drape of the range without any pattern — over a plain kurta, cream or camel, a dark coat, an outfit that already has enough going on.
The colour
Warm brown is a deep, rich brown — the colour of dark bronze or wet bark — with a matt surface and no shine. In daylight it carries a faint olive undertone; indoors it settles into a quiet dark brown. It is warmer and a shade lighter than our espresso, and it wears well with cream, camel, rust, mustard and every other earth tone — one of the easiest colours in the range to pair with gold jewellery. The weave texture is what you see on it, not gloss.
