Kashmiri pashmina, at the everyday end
This is the entry point to our Kashmiri range: a pashmina shawl from the Kashmir looms that sits below our Kani and ring shawls in fineness and in price. It is softer and lighter than any of our Swati wool weaves, and it is the piece to choose if you want to wear pashmina every day rather than keep it for weddings. This is how we test pashmina, and this is how Swati and Kashmiri shawls differ.
The cloth
The detailing on this piece is best seen in the photographs. What the photographs cannot show is the hand: the softness and the way it falls, which is the reason to buy Kashmiri pashmina at all.
The colour
Emerald is a jewel green, deep and clear, and one of the most flattering colours a shawl can be. It is a wedding-guest colour that also works over black on an ordinary evening.
