A men's Swati pashmina shawl in stone, handwoven in Salampur, Swat, in the larger men's size.
Made for how men wear a shawl
A man's shawl is worn differently: thrown over one shoulder, wrapped against the cold on a motorbike, folded over the arm at a wedding. So ours is cut larger, roughly 45 by 90 inches, with a plain field and a simple selvedge, and woven from a wool that holds its shape through a season of daily use. Read our guide to sizes, colours and how to wear one.
A note on the word pashmina
"Swati pashmina" is the Salampur weavers' own name for their softest everyday wool weave. It is a wool shawl, not the goat-fibre pashmina of Kashmir, and we price it as one. Swati vs Kashmiri shawls, explained.
The colour
Stone is a warm grey-beige, the colour of river pebbles. It sits between grey and cream and goes with both, which makes it the most quietly useful colour in the men's range.
